Metrology Departement Manager

Our client provides engineering and integraton services for industry. They are looking for a Metrology Department Manager - 3D Measurement.

• Supervise your team and assist them with inspections and dimensional measurements;
• Evaluate the level of competence neeeded for the department and training needs;
• Evaluate client service projects and participate in the preparation of bids, definition of methods and provide recommendations to clients;
• Organize work teams and mobilize staff towards the achievement of their objectives;
• Ensure the smooth running of service projects; compliance with metrological requirements and deadlines;
• Ensure working condition of the measuring equipment and establish calibration procedures;
• Manage and monitor metrology projects and daily and financial management;
• Ensure presentations of products sold or integrated by the company;
• Collaborate in the development of the metrology business branch in the market.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or DEC in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field;
• Knowledge of industrial metrology; methods, means, etc.;
• Advanced knowledge in mathematics and statistics;
• Experience with measuring instruments such as laser tracker and portable CMM;
• Asset: Experience with Catia V5 and Polyworks;
• Travel to Canada and USA, 20 to 30% of the time;
• Bilingual.
