Industrial Hygienist

Our client is an industrial hygiene consulting firm. They are looking for an Industrial Hygienist, (in the field 50% - Greater Montreal area and occasionally northern Quebec).

• Conduct site supervision visits where work is in the presence of asbestos (moderate or high risk work);
• Conduct industrial hygiene studies, including sampling of chemical contaminants (metals, solvents, dust, etc.), physical contaminants (noise) or biological contaminants (molds, bacteria);
• Conduct fungal contamination and air quality assessments in commercial and institutional buildings;
• Sample contaminants and materials that may contain asbestos, take air samples (asbestos and mold);
• Write evaluation or intervention reports with recommendations;
• Conduct protective breathing equipment training and qualitative adjustment testing.

Requirements:

• DEC in Environment Occupational Health and Safety or a related field;
• 1 year of experience in a similar position;
• ASP Construction certificate;
• Proficient in MS Word and knowledge of Excel;
• Valid driver's license and car;
• French.
