Electrical Engineer (PCB design)

Our customer, a leader in optical and visual display technologies for aerospace, military and other applications, is looking for a senior Electrical Engineer. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for electronic circuit design, coding, test platform development, troubleshooting and manufacturing support.

• Responsible for electronic circuit design and PCB layouts for new and existing products for the displays business units;
• Build and assemble working display prototypes, provide supporting documentation for the manufacturing team;
• Validate designs according to aerospace-grade requirements;
• Generate or modify VHDL code for custom functionality of FPGA;
• Generate or modify C code for embedded microcontroller-based circuits;
• Provide technical solutions for the selection of electronic components;
• Work with suppliers and provide technical guidance to manufacture circuit assemblies;
• Create technical documentation and user manuals;
• Assign part numbers for drawings, BOMs, and documents;
• Prepare, incorporate and process Engineering Change Orders;
• Support and troubleshoot complex RMA failure modes;
• Participate in design reviews (PDR/CDR) and ensure compliance with environmental and EMI/EMC requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field;
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of experience designing for military or aerospace industries;
• Understanding of both digital and analog circuit design;
• Proficient with Altium schematic and layout software;
• C / C++ programming language;
• Familiar with FPGA programming and testing;
• Able to use basic electronic test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc. Abile to solder and use prototyping tools;
• Potential occasional travel to customer sites;
• Bilingual (American customers).
