Quality Assurance Site Engineer - ref.18846AC
Our client, an ISO 9001-2000 registered heavy earthworks and civil
construction company, is searching for a Quality Assurance Site Engineer to join their team in Newfoundland.
You will work with the Project Site QA Team and oversee and coordinate a group of field QA
engineers/inspectors while working with the operations personnel to coordinate between the operations and QA
department. You will strive to find win-win solutions and provide leadership in the accomplishment of your
tasks.
This position is based on a rotation schedule of 10 days on site and 4 days off, with travel provided to and from the point of hire, with the potential to evolve into a permanent corporate position based out of their regional head office.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have 5 - 10 years of experience working in QA within a HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION
environment. Technical or professional background with an understanding of concrete, earthworks and hydro development. Be familiar with CSA and ASTM standards and be able to read and understand construction drawings. A thorough knowledge of quality control and assurance practices and ISO 9001 standards. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, along with a strong work ethic and personal initiative. Ability to supervise, mentor and coordinate a group of field engineers and oversee field inspection requirements.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills will be required. Ability to communicate in both English
and French will be viewed as a considerable asset.

Our client, a long and well-established General Contractor in the Montreal area, is presently seeking a Construction Site
Coordinator for their operations. You will stay on site and coordinate technically, with the
Office and the site superintendent, all changes being sent through from the consultants.
Requirements:
Ideally with an architectural background or training, the successful candidate needs to have at least 2 years of on-site construction experience.
Languages: French is required.
Salary: $30K - $55K depending on experience.
