• Participate in project development by providing technical support to the sales team and development activities;
• Coordinate and manage the technical relationship between clients, builders, designers, suppliers and production team;
• Analyze the different project components according to applicable standards, provide practical solutions, and design related details in accordance with construction methods;
• Occasionally produce shop drawings using CAD and participate in the development and improvement of products and services.
Requirements:

Construction Inspector - ref.19537XE

Under the responsibility of the Site Manager, the Construction Inspector advises the general contractor and various subcontractors regarding regulations in their respective sectors.
Responsibilities:
• Visit the sites in the region;
• Conduct inspections of construction sites;
• Write inspection reports;
• Advise and train contractors to employ best practices for installation of materials, and ensure  compliance with various professional associations;
• Ensure that all residential units built by the contractors are registered;
• Act as an ambassador for the organization at all times, both internally and externally.
Requirements:
• DEC in Architecture, Building Technology or other relevant academic training; a certificate in building evaluation is considered an asset;
• At least three (3) years experience in building inspection;
• Knowledge of various codes governing the construction industry;
• Knowledge of wood structures;
• Familiar with recommendations and requirements of building materials manufacturers;
• Excellent knowledge of computer software related to the job;
• Have experience in supervising subcontractor is an asset;
• Member of the Order of Quebec Technologists or other professional organizations related to construction, is an asset;
• Fluent spoken and written French; functional English an asset;
• Customer focused, ability to clearly explain complex and technical content.

Salary: Variable depending on skill and experience. The normal workweek is 34.5 hours.

Senior Architectural Technician - ref.19492XE

Reporting to the Associate Architect, the Senior Architectural Technician will be involved in commercial and institutional development, redevelopment and facings.
• Assist in the architectural design development;
• Analyze building codes, municipal regulations, space requirements and location as well as other reports and technical documents;
• Use CAD (computer aided design) to prepare drawings, specifications and estimates and listings of materials from designs and instructions;
• Prepare contracts and tender documents;
• Supervise, when needed, other designers, technicians and technologists on the architectural team;
• Monitor construction projects and coordinate, monitor and inspect work done by others.
Requirements:
• DEC in Architecture;
• Over 10 years of relevant experience;
• Experience monitoring work sites;
• Excellent writing skills in French.

Construction Project Manager - ref.19349NN

Our client, a dynamic and growing small business, is seeking a Construction Project Manager.
Duties:
• Plan construction projects and prepare construction schedules in conjunction with the Project Superintendent;
• Process contract drawings and specifications and ensure that the building is built in accordance with these documents;
• Process changes received from the Architect including contacting the subcontractor for pricing, checking subcontractor quotations to ensure that they are complete and reasonable, and itemizing changes and presenting them to the Architect with confidence that the pricing is in accordance with the changes;
• Ensure payment in full for the contract price including all accumulative changes and credits, etc.
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings;
• Monitor, in conjunction with the Project Superintendent, a project’s material and labors costs and ensure accurate quality reporting is being conducted;
• Conduct project meetings, bi-weekly or monthly as needed;
• Coordinate, manage and communicate with all subcontractors and effectively deal with problems such as delivery, labor, schedule and payment disputes;
• Ensure that the project is in a positive cash flow position and prepare Project Manager Reports accurately and timely for submission to the Area Manager.
Requirements:
• Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training plus 2 years experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance and management;
• Experience: 5 years;
• Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance;
• Must be extremely organized, meticulous and master of the standard computer softwares;
• A valid driver's license;
• Languages: Fluent in French and functional English.
Salary: $55K - $75K depending on experience.

For our client, one of the best builders in Montreal, we are looking for a Project Manager for the construction of ± 400 residential condos. This is a permanent position.
Duties:
• Prepare estimates and bids, award contracts and adhere to schedules;
• Prepare scopes of work ;
• Meet with trades during bid period;
• Negotiate agreements;
• Assist in preliminary design stage with architect;
• Lead detailed design stage to produce quality drawings that meet scope and cost objectives, and regulatory requirements;
• Prepare preliminary construction budget based on previous projects data, budget quotes and forecast of unique/new project elements;
• Supply required information to city during permit study;
• Keep minutes of meetings with trades and consultants;
• Review contracts and prepare small purchase orders;
• Review and approve shop drawings;
• Prepare quantity take-off for material orders;
• Sketch construction details for on the spot efficient solutions/implementation on site;
• Support construction site staff with various requests, on a daily basis;
• Track and ensure proper distribution of client modifications to trades/site.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering;

• Have a work experience directly related to the concrete structures;
• Must have great concern for quality;
• Must be available and flexible with work schedules.
